About

Ciara Cronin MA

I hold an MA in mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute in Devon and Middlesex University, UK. I am a licensed and accredited psychotherapist with UKCP. I’ve been a yoga and meditation teacher and trainer for over 25 years and recognise the support an embodied contemplative practice can bring to our insight, health, whole healing and growth.

My therapeutic approach is relational, contemplative and mindfulness-centred. This encourages individuals to cultivate deep awareness of issues arising in the present. Drawing on Western psychology and Eastern contemplative traditions, therapy is seen as a joint undertaking where we – client and therapist – investigate present issues with kindness and compassion, thus enabling you to move beyond past conditioning to change your relationship to yourself and others.”

Core Process Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based approach that encourages individuals to cultivate deep awareness of their body and mind for self-exploration and healing. It emphasises the premise that every individual possesses an inherent state of health, awareness, and wisdom, obscured by conditioned patterns developed throughout life. The therapy aims to slow down automatic processes, allowing for examination and adjustment, and facilitate the exploration of previously hidden psychological material in a safe environment.

Mindfulness-based psychotherapy is suitable for a wide range of issues including; Issues with self-esteem; depression, panic and anxiety; trauma, post traumatic stress, childhood trauma and abuse; addiction recovery; and bereavement and grief.
